
Anthony David Gonzalez (born February 27th, 1976) is an former American football tight end who was a part of the National Football League (NFL) for 17 seasons. Gonzalez is thought to be one of the top tight ends in the world. He holds the NFL record for receiving yards as well as receptions for a tight end. Furthermore, he ranks third overall in receptions. Gonzalez was drafted in the first round by the Kansas City Chiefs. He was a part of the team for his first 12 seasons with the team. In his five last seasons, he was with the Atlanta Falcons. Gonzalez retired in 2013 and has been a football analyst at NFL on Prime Video. He previously worked for CBS Sports and Fox Sports. Gonzalez also received six first-team All-Pros. Gonzalez is famous for his stamina and uncommon errors. He played in 272 regular season games and only lost two fumbles over 1,327 plays. In 2019 Gonzalez was admitted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
